Our Organisation

A Movement Born From Compassion

Be My Hand Initiative (BMH) is a non-governmental organisation founded in 2018 by Dr. Esther Isah Bila. What began as one woman's response to the unmet needs of her community has grown into a structured, impactful organisation touching thousands of lives across northern Nigeria.

Operating under the Esther Isah Bila Foundation (EIBF), we run targeted programmes in women's healthcare, girls' education, children's nutrition, and community livelihood — because sustainable development requires addressing every dimension of human wellbeing.

"On May 16th, 2026, the Pad A Girl Campaign reached the Special Education Centre in Gombe.

Girls were taught how to make reusable sanitary pads and reminded that menstruation is natural and nothing to be ashamed of. 🌸

I was glad to play my part by donating 100 disposable sanitary pads to support the girls. For me, it’s about reducing school absenteeism; no girl should miss school because of her period.
